I have over 20 years of experience in repairing, restoring and making violins, violas and cellos. I received my training at the Newark School of Violinmaking in Nottinghamshire, UK.  I then worked for ten years as a repairer and restorer, under Jerry Pasewicz at Triangle Strings in Raleigh, NC, before becoming head luthier at Beau Vinci Violins in Atlanta, GA.

My family and I moved to Blacksburg in 2023 and I established Blacksburg Violin Repair in January 2024.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in music and I play violin, viola and old-time fiddle.

The connection between the work I do with my hands and the music others make with theirs is very important to me. It is a privilege to serve players at every level, helping them to express their unique musical voice.
